About us

We started Redspring about a year ago and told almost no one.

That part was mostly accidental. We were just heads down building things, for clients, for ourselves, for the fun of it. Mozilla. The Atlantic. A murder mystery with Lemony Snicket. A focus app Loren built immediately after getting back from a ten-day silent meditation retreat. The usual.

Preproduction is where we write about what we’re doing and learning. Some of it is production AI systems and what it takes to ship them. Some of it is experiments that half-worked. Some of it is opinions we’ve formed by doing this long enough to have opinions.

We’re Obssa and Loren, co-founders of Redspring. We straddle product, design, and engineering in a way that people tell us is unusual. We just really like building things. If you do too, you’re in the right place.
